if you are studying the Civil War in the border states this book is a must-have. While not exactly a primary source, GW Brown was the mayor of Baltimore at the time. His account of the events in Maryland in 1861 gives a much clearer understanding than the typical history but has the bias of a participant in the Baltimore Riots. The book is a digital facimile reprint and as such is not perfect. Some pages are cut off but still readable.Product details

Great book
